Managing Davis-Bacon Certificates

Learn how to add, renew, and find Davis-Bacon certificates in Apprentix. Stay compliant with reminders, uploads, and access to documents.

Davis-Bacon certificates prove that each apprentice is officially registered and paid according to Department of Labor (DOL) standards. Apprentix makes it easy to upload, track, and renew these certificates.


How to Find a Current Certificate (for Fractional Sponsor clients only)

If you joined Apprentix's registered apprenticeship program, Apprentix's compliance team will issue and renew Davis-Bacon certificates on your behalf and will place them in Apprentix for you. You do not need to take any action to issue or renew Davis-Bacon certificates if you are a Fractional Sponsor client.

You can find your Davis-Bacon certificates here:

  1. In Apprentix, go to Compliance > Documents > Davis-Bacon tab

  2. Certificates are listed in descending order by expiration date

  3. Click the file link to download any certificate


How to Add a Davis-Bacon Certificate (for tech platform only clients)

If you are a tech-only client (meaning you did not join Apprentix's registered apprenticeship program), your Program Sponsor will be responsible for generating and renewing Davis-Bacon certificates in RAPIDS and adding them into Apprentix.

  1. Generate the Certificate in RAPIDS

    • Log into RAPIDS

    • Issue a Davis-Bacon certificate for each apprentice

    • Download the certificate

  2. Upload the Certificate in Apprentix

    • In Apprentix, go to the apprentice’s profile > Documents

    • Open the Davis-Bacon tab

    • Click Add

    • Select the apprentice from the drop-down menu

      • (If they aren’t listed, add them to Apprentix first)

    • Upload the certificate file

    • Enter the Requested Date and Renewal Date (from RAPIDS)

    • Set a Reminder Date → you’ll get email + in-app notifications before expiration

    • Click Add to save

  3. View the Certificate

    • Once uploaded, the certificate appears in the Davis-Bacon tab

    • Click the file name to open and view it


How to Renew a Davis-Bacon Certificate

  1. Get Reminder Notifications

    • On the Reminder Date, all Admins receive an email + in-app alert

  2. Renew in RAPIDS

    • Log into RAPIDS

    • Select the apprentice

    • Renew their certificate and download the updated file

  3. Upload the New Certificate in Apprentix

    • Go to the apprentice’s profile > Documents > Davis-Bacon tab

    • Click Add and upload the new certificate

    • Set a new Renewal Date and Reminder Date

📌 Note: If an apprentice completes or is canceled from the program, their reminder notifications are automatically turned off.
