These notifications appear on the Partner Admin’s home tab in the Partner Portal and can be customized to direct Client Admins to specific in-app actions or external links. This feature is exclusive to Partner Admins on the "Plus Plan" and is designed to streamline compliance-related communication. Organizations on the "Standard Plan" and "Prime Plan" do not have access to this feature since they are not managing multiple clients within Apprentix.
Key Features
Targeted Notifications: Send notifications to all clients, specific clients, or selected apprenticeships within those clients.
Customizable Details: Define the notification title, message, priority, routing, and recurrence schedule.
Actionable Routing: Link notifications to in-app sections (e.g., Wage Increases), external URLs, or make them non-clickable.
Priority Settings: Choose between Normal (white background, lower in the notification list) or High (red background, top of the list) priority.
Completion Tracking: Admins can mark notifications as complete, and Partner Admins can manage updates to open or completed notifications.
Recurring Notifications: Schedule notifications to repeat on a custom basis for ongoing reminders.
How to Send a Push Notification
Access the Notifications Tab:
Log in to the Apprentix Partner Portal.
Navigate to the Notifications tab in the main menu to view existing notifications or create a new one.
Create a New Notification:
Click New to start the four-step process:
Select Clients: Choose specific clients or select all clients to receive the notification.
Select Apprenticeships: Choose specific apprenticeships within the selected clients or select all.
Define Notification Details:
Title: Enter a concise title (character limit applies) to appear in bold (e.g., "Action Required: Check Wage Increases").
Message: Write a clear message (e.g., "Please review your wage increases to ensure compliance.").
On-Click Routing: Choose one of:
Nothing: Notification is not clickable.
In-App Section: Directs to a specific section in Apprentix (e.g., Wage Increases).
External Link: Opens a new tab to a third-party URL (paste the link).
Priority: Select Normal (white background, lower priority) or High (red background, top priority).
Start Date: Set when the notification will be sent (immediate or future date).
Recurrence: Choose Do Not Repeat or set a recurring schedule for reminders.
Preview and Send: Review the notification’s appearance and settings, then click Send to distribute it to all selected client admins.
Notification Delivery:
Notifications appear on the Home tab of the client’s admin portal.
Admins can click the notification to go to the routed destination or mark it as complete to clear it.
Modifying Existing Notifications
If you need to update a notification after it’s been sent:
Go to the Notifications tab in the Partner Portal.
Select the notification you want to edit and click Edit.
Update the desired fields (e.g., change priority to High or modify the message).
Choose how to apply the update:
Resend to All: Reopens the notification for all recipients, including those who marked it complete, with the updated details.
Update Only Open Notifications: Applies changes only to notifications that remain open, leaving completed ones unchanged.
Preview and save the changes to push the updated notification.
