How to Add an Apprenticeship
Updated over a week ago

An apprenticeship combines classroom learning and on-the-job learning (OJL) to enable an apprentice to become skilled in a trade or profession.

When thinking about apprenticeships, we like to start with your company. What role or position are you trying to fill with your apprenticeship?

Click Step 3: Add Apprenticeship

  1. Job title search - look for a close match to your job title and summary, they don’t need to be exact matches.

    1. DoL Approved - when you see this checkmark, that means this occupation is already a federally registered apprenticeship. If you choose this and it’s a good fit, then you’ll be able to get federally registered in approximately 30 days.

  2. Customize your job title

    1. What is the name of your apprenticeship?

    2. Could your apprenticeship go by other names?

    3. Provide a description of your apprenticeship.

  3. Add credentials to establish upfront what credentials an apprentice will earn.

    1. Include interim credentials if they will be earned along the way.

  4. Specify terms

    1. determine the duration of the apprenticeship and probationary period, and add all the minimum qualifications here.
