How to create assessments

This article explains the difference between Assessments and Evaluations and how Admins can use the Assessment feature to evaluate any user.

Updated over a week ago

Note: Use the Evaluation feature instead to determine whether a user has demonstrated a Competency or earned a Credential.

An Overview

Think of the Assessment like a 50-point inspection. It allows you to quickly assess the tasks, skills, or performance related to an apprenticeship.

The Assessment feature can be used to evaluate users by using a checklist that you quickly fill out multiple times throughout their apprenticeship. You can choose whether or not to share the results with the user on each instance.

In order to Assess a User, you will first need to build out the Assessment in “Templates”

Creating a Template

From the Apprenticeship View,

  1. Go to Performance Tools > Assessments

  2. Go to Templates

  3. Click on “New” in the top right corner

  4. Name the Assessment

  5. Enter a Description

  6. Add questions/status/metric.

  7. To Add Answer choices, enter the option text then press enter.

  8. To delete Answer choices, use the Trash Icon

  9. When you have finished adding the questions and answer choices, click “Close”
