How Do I Manage an Apprentice's Status in Apprentix?

If an apprentice's status needs to be updated in Apprentix, such as canceling, suspending, or changing it due to incorrect email input, follow the appropriate steps outlined below. Note that apprentices should not be deleted unless there is a clear error in their account setup.

Changing Apprentice Status

For Cancellation

If an apprentice is no longer associated with your company, you can cancel their profile to reflect this status:

  1. Go to the People menu.

  2. Click on the apprentice’s name to open their profile.

  3. Navigate to the Actions tab.

  4. Choose Apprentice Cancellation.

  5. Complete the cancellation form and submit it for processing by the respective team.

For Suspension

If an apprentice is temporarily inactive but may return in the future, follow these steps to suspend their account:

  1. Access the apprentice’s profile by clicking their name in the system.

  2. Open the Actions tab.

  3. Select Apprentice Suspension to temporarily deactivate their account.


Recommending Alternatives to Deletion

Only delete an apprentice’s account if their email was entered incorrectly, and an entirely new profile must be created.
