How to Delete a User

This article explains how Admins can delete users in Apprentix. Deleting a user removes them from all views and reports, making it useful when someone's email address was incorrectly entered.

Important Note: This functionality is only available to Admins.

What's the Difference Between Deleting and Dismissing a User?
Previously, Admins could only Dismiss a user. Dismissing a user hides them from most views but they are still technically active in the system and can be seen in some reports. Deleting a user permanently removes them from those views as well.

Things to Know Before Deleting a User

  • Deleting a user removes them from all apprenticeships.

  • Deleting a user erases all of their history (though it's technically deactivated and recoverable by the support team).

  • Dismissing a user might be a better option if you don't want to remove the user from apprenticeships or erase their history (see the Dismissing a User article for more information).

How to Delete a User

From the Manage Portal

  1. Click on the "People" tab

  2. Locate the User you want to delete

  3. Click the Three Dot Menu

  4. Select "Delete".

  5. A confirmation popup will appear. You must check each checkbox to confirm you understand the consequences of deleting the user.

  • Checkbox 1: Confirms the user will be removed from all apprenticeships.

  • Checkbox 2: Confirms the user's history will be erased.

  • Checkbox 3: Reminds you that dismissing the user is an option.

6. Once you've confirmed everything, click "Confirm".
