What is the Register New Occupation Service?

Apprentix is already registered for several occupations, including craft laborer, electrician, heavy equipment operator, pipe fitter, surveyor, carpenter (form builder), and wind turbine technician.

If your business requires a different trade, you can request Apprentix to design and register a new occupation under our sponsorship.

Note: We do not guarantee that we will add your requested occupation under our program.

We structure each occupation to maximize reciprocity across states and handle the entire registration process with the Department of Labor.

Why Would You Need It?

You might want to register a new occupation if:

  • Your company employs apprentices in a trade not already covered

  • You want the flexibility to expand into new markets or industries

  • You need a custom apprenticeship occupation recognized nationwide

How Much Does It Cost?

  • $6,000 one-time fee per occupation

  • Covers design, documentation, and full registration under our program

  • Includes state reciprocity considerations for nationwide recognition
